He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Dean and Florence Long; his son Scotty David Frederick; and his sisters, Pauline Margaret Austin, Rosemary Wright, Annie Waldron and Rosie Brookman.
He is survived by: his children, Sidney Todd Sharp of New Mexico, Anthony David Long of Peterstown, WV and Genetta Sharp of Canton, OH; and his siblings, Marvin "Pete" Long of Peterstown, WV and Cynthia Ann Snyder of Radford, VA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; several god grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
