He was predeceased by: his parents, Orlando Rotruck and Bessie Rotruck (Davis); his stepmother Hattie Rotruck Streets (Likens); his half-brothers, Melvin Gillaspie and Milton "Red" Gillaspie; his sisters, Kathleen Rotruck, Wilda Meredith and Eloise Duckworth; and his pet Sadie.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Rotruck (Cosner); his children, Pamela Stanton of Shallotte, NC, Sherry Whetzel (Jerry) of Petersburg, WV, Bonita Jackson (Steve) of Wardensville, WV, Joni Hinkle (Clyde) of Petersburg, WV, Amy Rotruck of Petersburg, WV. and Robert Cosner (Traci) of Winchester, VA.; his grandchildren, Scott Foltz (Carol), Patrick Foltz (Betsy), Christopher Whetzel (Christian), Justin Whetzel (Elizabeth), Stephanie Dunithan (Casey), Derek Jackson (Val), Tabitha Funk (Andrew), Bowdie Hinkle and Dillon Lantz; his great grandchildren, Lily, Josh, Owen, Shad, Ezekiel, Elisha, Josiah, Ananiah, Alexandra, Celina, Damon, Lucas, Connor, Reagan and Hudson; and his half-sister Margo Allan of Hartmansville, WV.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home (11 N Main St, Petersburg, WV 26847). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
