It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma J. Reel of Petersburg, West Virginia, born in Bayard, West Virginia, who passed away on June 21, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Granville Hawk and Mae Elva Hawk (Taylor); her husband William T. "Gabe" Reel; her son William Dolman Reel; her siblings, Mary Ellen Dayton, Shirley A. Arbogast, Lovell M. Goldizen, Eileen Foley, Ramona June Cook, Carolyn S. Conner, Paul Wendell Hawk and Olin T. Hawk; and her son-in-law Edward Hiser.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elva Reel Ratcliff (Gerald) of Petersburg, WV and Christene Reel Hiser of Petersburg, WV; her grandsons, Matthew Paul Ratcliff (Mindy) of Gainesville, VA and Ashby William Hiser of Rock Hill, SC; her great grandchildren, Mattox James Ratcliff and Marlee Catherine Ratcliff of Gainesville, VA; and her siblings, Phyllis Treadway (Rupert) of Arlington, VA, Frances Park (Tim) of Petersburg, WV, Patricia Parks (Orland) of Scherr, WV, Ronald Hawk (Jean) of Cresaptown, MD, William E. Hawk (Joan) of Broomes Island, MD and Richard Hawk (Martha) of Maysville, WV. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
