He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Ellis Schell and Audrey Virginia Schell (Reel); his wife Violet Crites Schell (Reel); his siblings, Barbara Ellen Schell, Kenneth Schell, Ernest Schell Jr., Richard Schell, Ira Wendell Schell and Warren William Schell; his stepchildren, David B. Crites, Marilyn White and Rose Miller; and his stepgranddaughter Danielle Miller.
He is survived by: his siblings, Margaret Carr of Winchester, VA, Eleanor Feaster of Petersburg, WV, Alma Schell of Jefferson, GA, Bonnie (Randolph Grimes) of Spotsylvania, VA and Robert T. Schell of Bunker Hill, WV; his daughter Lisa Mongold of Moorefield, WV; and his stepdaughter Blanche Simmons of Petersburg, WV. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Olivet Cemetery (Olivet Dr, Moorefield, WV 26836).
