He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Jacob Thorne and Eula Adaline Thorne (Cleaver); and his sister Eulajean A. Sites. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Brashear Thorne; his children, Kirk R. Thorne (Natasha) of Petersburg, WV and Kenytha Strawderman (Kennie) of Petersburg, WV; his stepchildren, Jordan Brashear of Petersburg, WV and Stephanie Bauer (Ashton Barr) of Maysville, WV; his grandchildren, Arielle Thorne, Nick Simpson, Abbygail Thorne and Kennedy Strawderman; his stepgrandchildren, Trevan Keen and Lauri Brashear; and his brother Eddie Thorne (Melba) of Petersburg, WV. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company No. 46 or Charity of the Donor's Choice.
