It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Lacy Raines (Petersburg, West Virginia), who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Denver Raines and Margie Raines (Harper); his siblings, Morris Raines and Reva Kisamore; and his brother-in-law Bob Wolfe.
He is survived by: his children, Jenny Tingler (Dale) of Petersburg, WV, Todd Raines (Cathy) of Harman, WV, Casey Raines (Jennifer) of Snowy Mt and Jerry Raines Raines (Monica) of Onego, WV; his siblings, Dorothy Wolfe of Martinsburg, WV and Elton Raines of Cabins, WV; his grandchildren, Miley, Morgan, Peyton, Katie, Megan, Dawson, Cheyenne, Hannah, Chris and Danielle Marie; and his great grandchildren, Hadley, Clara, Ryder, Lizzie, Raegen, Owen and Little Parker.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home (501 N Fork Hwy, Petersburg, WV 26847). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials in Jerry's honor may be made to the donor's choice.
