He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Sturgill and Sybil Sturgill (Cole); and his siblings, Faye Huff and Bob Sturgill. He is survived by: his wife Virginia R. Sturgill (Green); his sons, Thomas P. Sturgill (Jan) of Pittsburgh, PA, Daniel A. Sturgill (Linda) of Hickory, NC, Mark K. Sturgill (Janice) of Petersburg, WV and Benjamin C. Sturgill of Brooklyn, NY; his grandchildren, Joshua C. Sturgill, Dalton L. Brennan, Wesley J. Sturgill, Brandon Sturgill and Sarah Sturgill; and his sister Dixie Hill (Jim).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church or Gideons International.
