He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Herbert Ketterman and Rachel Arlene Nesselrodt (Lantz); and his former wife Irene Janet Ketterman (Wratchford). He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Catherine Ketterman (Wratchford); his children, Delphia Holloway of Petersburg, Lucille Riggleman (John) of Moorefield, WV, Herbert Paul Ketterman, Jr. (Carla) of Moorefield, Ernest Ketterman (Amanda) of Moorefield, Rex Wratchford (Peggy) of Moorefield and Mary Zink (Matt) of Morgantown, WV; his stepsons, Charles Wilson (Michelle) of Petersburg, Calvin Wilson of Petersburg and Lester Wilson (Shana) of Maysville, WV; and his sister Leta Mary Shirk of Petersburg. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, and for the love and respect for Herbert, wearing of masks and social distancing will be required at the graveside service at all times.
