He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvern Olin Simmons and Louella Frances Simmons (Muntzing). He is survived by: his wife Blanche Simmons (Crites); his children, Garry S. Simmons, Jr. (Mary) of Scherr, WV, Douglas Simmons of Smoke Hole, WV, Sharon Michael (Tyson) of Petersburg, WV and Barbara Feaster of Petersburg, WV; his stepdaughter Amanda Schell of Petersburg, WV; and his brother Allen Simmons of Harrisonburg, VA. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
