We are sad to announce that on August 20, 2022, at the age of 69, Donald E. Shaffer of Petersburg, West Virginia, born in Morgantown, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl David Shaffer and Lovie Pearl Shaffer (Cottrell); his siblings, Howard Shaffer, Richard Shaffer and Jean Shaffer Brown; and his parents-in-law, Ernest "Satchel" and Helen George.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Shaffer (George); his siblings, George W. Shaffer (Judy) of Reedsville, WV, Lendia Peaslee of Masontown, WV and Eddie; his sister-in-law Joann Goldizen of Maysville, WV; his nephews, Scott Southerly of Prairie Grove, AR and Steve Southerly of Petersburg, WV; and his friend Bubba. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
