Anna Elizabeth Redman Obituary
Anna Elizabeth Redman, 76, of 115 Cochran Street, Staunton, Va., and formerly of Petersburg, W.Va., died Saturday, May 10, 1986, at Waynesboro Community Hospital, Staunton.
Born on June 11, 1909, in Petersburg, she was a daughter of the late Arch B. Redman and Anna Elizabeth (Reel) Redman. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Redman, on Jul. 6, 1977; three sons, Charles B. Redman Sr., Richard R. Redman Sr., and Thomas Redman; seven brothers, William Redman, Holmes Redman, Page Redman, Emmitt Redman, John Redman, Charles Redman and Olie Redman, and three sisters, Jennie Redman, Lena Redman and Cora Redman.
Mrs. Redman was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Petersburg.
Surviving are three sons, Harry G. Redman Sr., and Paul A. Redman, both of Staunton, and Neil W. Redman, of Fisher; two daughters, Charlotte G. Moats and Vera E. Moats, both of Staunton; 36 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Carrie Redman, of Petersburg, and Grace Groves, of Hubbard, Ohio.
A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday in Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Calvin Redman and the Rev. Leon McCauley.
Burial will be in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ricky, Richard, Jay, Tony and Ronnie Redman, Homer and Delmar Moats and Steven Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be the remaining grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
