It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Raymond Smith Sr. (Pennsboro, West Virginia), born in Elyria, Ohio, who passed away on January 27, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Oliver Smith and Juanita Evelyn Shrader (Mehrmann); his grandson Joseph Smith; and his brothers, John and Curtis Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mae Smith (Purvis); his children, Amy Floyd of Newberne, WV, Douglas Smith, Jr. of Salem, WV, Juanita Margaret Ellen Smith of Harrisville, WV and Johnny Smith of Harrisville, WV; his grandchildren, Kimberly Smith, James Smith, Sarah Smith, Peyton Smith, Connor Smith, Lindsay Moyers, Addison Berga and Caleb Smith; and his siblings, Juanita Terry of Elyria, OH and Carl Shrader. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
