He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph C. Lewis, Sr. and Sarah Sellers Lewis; and his siblings, Sarah Cowart, Margaret Smith and Dan Miller.
He is survived by: his daughter Frances Lewis of Pence Springs; his sister Lynn Miller of Vidalia; his cousin Robert Perry of Savannah; and his former wife Teresa Hunter of Pence Springs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
