He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Watring; his sons, Chad Whitney Smith (Penny) of Hambleton, WV and Jason Lee Smith (Lisa) of Leadmine, WV.; his grandchildren, Adair (Zach), Trent, Karlee, Avery, Camille, Asa and Zailee; and his brothers, Hugh DeMotto (Magdalene DeMotto) and John Smith (Sherri) of Parsons, WV..
