He is survived by: his wife Dora Pearl Shahan; his son Ruben Lee "Beaver" Barb, III (Janice) of Parsons; his sister Dorothy Maditz (Edward) of Clarksburg; his grandchildren, Kevin of Parsons and Alicia Barb of Parsons; and his niece Karen Jones (Mark) of Morgantown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
