He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Collett and Elma Mallow Haddix; his wife Mildred Grace Collett; and his siblings, Arbutis Wilson (Clint) and John Collett (Maxine).
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, David Kyle, Debra Kyle, Cindy Helmick, John Collett Jr. and Forest Conrad Jr.; his great-nieces, Melissa Rhoads, Angiy Browning (Justin), Kelsey, Kenzie and Karley Kyle; his great-nephew Buck Helmick (Kylie); and his family, Izabella, Addalyn, Kennedy and Carter.
