She was predeceased by: her parents, Clark Smith and Catherine Davis Ropp. She is survived by: her husband John Henry Pennington; her sons, John P. Pennington (Kelly) of Elkins and Michael Rippeon; her grandsons, Johnathan Pennington of Elkins and Allen Michael Rippeon; her half-siblings, Linda Linthcum of Frederick, MD, Kathy Harrison of Frederick, MD, Donald Fravel of Frederick, MD and Kenny Ropp of Frederick, MD; and her sisters-in-law, Wilma Hively of Elkins and Judy Roy (Gary) of Elkins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
