He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. "Butch" Long, Sr. and Stanis Lee Long; and his sister Brenda Lee Long. He is survived by: his son Zachary Long (Ashley); his grandson Zachary Long, Jr. of Hendricks; his stepmother Beth Long of Parsons; his stepsiblings, Amy, Bruce and David; his nieces, Tammy Michael (Pete) and Krista Owens (Tim); his nephew Tink Greenlief (Jennifer) of Parsons; his great-nieces and great-nephews, James Payden, Alexa Lee, Liam Connor Kee, Ethan Michael and Maci Lee; and his friend Pat Usnik. He is also survived by his family and friends.
