He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe Burvin Sherman and Anna Lee Hardy Sherman; and his siblings, Millie Ann Stuart, Marian Monroe "Susie" Beaty, Brenda Kay Asbury and Bruce Wallen.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Bohon of Parsons, Tina Stanley of Belfry, KY, Samantha Hutchinson of Catlettsburg, KY and Melissa Shahan of Elkins; and his brothers, Andrew William "Buster" Sherman, Daniel Leon "Danny" Sherman, Lloyd "Peewee" Wallen Jr. and Bobby Joe Wallen. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
