It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iris Jean Simmons Loughry (Parsons, West Virginia), born in Canaan Valley, West Virginia, who passed away on February 22, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Jesse Simmons and Gaynel Thelma Bonner Simmons; her husband Fred Leroy Loughry; and her siblings, Herbert (Faye), George and Carol Sue.

She is survived by: her children, Brenda J. Arnold (Leonard), Sharon K. Moats (William), Randy A. Carr (Tammy) of Parsons and Stephen D. Carr (Trina) of Parsons; her grandchildren, Todd Arnold (Tara), Julie Parks (Donald), Travis Moats (Chelsie), Scott Moats and Melissa Burns (Andrew); and her siblings, Frank, Olin (Peck), Thelma (Fid), Erma, Patsy, Mary, Shirley, Virginia, Ruby and Mildred (Cindy). She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and providing for her family.
