He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Thomas and Mable Baugher Thomas; his former wife Jane Southworth Thomas; his brother Wilbur "Bill" Thomas; his grandson Shawn Hatfield; and his brother-in-law John Southworth.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Thomas of Cincinnati, OH, Debi Hatfield of Hambleton, Christi Flynn of Pahrump, NV and Kellie Flynn Freeman (Allen) of Lewis Co; his sister Letha Gannon of Muskegon, MI; his sister-in-law Jean Southworth of Columbus, OH; and his grandchildren, Ryan Hatfield (Becka), Kylie Helmick (Jeffrey), Kelly Mears (Caty), Cody Mears, Nick Amaro (Emilee) and Dean Klus (Courtney). He is also survived by six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
