He is survived by: his children, David Warren Stone (Ginny) of Front Royal, VA, Steve Michael Stone of Norfolk, VA and Donell Denise "Beano" Black (Thomas) of Manassas, VA; his stepdaughters, April Metz of Parsons and Tina Elas; his siblings, Richard Francis "Stoney" Stone (Lisa) of Parsons and Linda Merl Stone Mistur (Chet) of Twinsburg, OH; his grandchildren, Marcy Hebb, David Alan Stone, Jr., Tristan Stone, Stephen Stone, Bailey Stone, Riley Stone and Louis Stone; his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Brooklee, Case Hebb and Ashlynn Stone; his friend David Orr; and also, Olivia "Bitty" Kisamore Stone and Judy Faye Metz. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
