He was predeceased by: his parent Howard D.; and his son Charles Richard Murphy. He is survived by: his spouse Dorothy Pansy Shahan; his children, Robert Shahan of Parsons, Jim Canfield (Aimee) of Parsons, Carol Nestor (Alfred Kooken) of Clarksburg and Linda Simmons of Parsons; his sisters, Mary Woods of Moore and Peggy Hebb of Gassaway; his grandchildren, Jamie Canfield Nichols, Dylan Canfield, Justin Nestor, Joshua Barkley and Kiley Simmons; and his great grandchildren, James Barkley, Dane Barkley, Lillian Nestor, Emmaleigh Nichols and Annalyn Nichols.
