He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Jackson Schoonover and Letha Fern Schoonover (Brown); his wife Florence Marie Sayger; and his son James Robert Schoonover. He is survived by: his children, Carl Ward (Schoonover, Jr.), Glen Taylor Schoonover, Susan Marie Randolph, John William Schoonover, Letha Lynn Schoonover and Patrick Kent Schoonover; and his sisters, Betty Jo Warner and Helen Schrader.
