He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett B. Sr. Hornbeck-Leasure and Garnett L. Hornbeck-Leasure; his wife Shirley Jean Goodnight Leasure; his brother Gary Leasure; his aunt Barbara Oman; and his cousin David Hornbeck.

He is survived by: his children, Yvette Johnson (Eddy) of Parkersburg and Thomas Leasure (Lisa) of Belpre; his grandchildren, Tyler Leasure (Lola) of Caguas, Ryan Leasure (Melinda) of Mineral Wells and Danielle Johnson of Parkersburg; and his niece Missy Hoover.
