We are sad to announce that on November 28, 2024, at the age of 87, Rodger Alan Byers (Parkersburg, West Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Rodger Alan may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parent Agatha Cunningham; his brother Ronald S. Byers; and his sister-in-law Shirley Byers. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jean McCrady of John's United Methodist Church; his children, Kim Kesterson (Mike) of Parkersburg, Brian Byers (Cheryl) of Waverly and Brent Byers (Terry) of Wilmington, NC.; and his in-laws, Janice Stephens, Shirley Rhodes, June Gregory and Ira John Brabham. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Leavitt Funeral Services and Crematory - Parkersburg (403 7th St, Parkersburg, WV 26101). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
