He was predeceased by: his mother Ethel Gregg; his son J. R. Miller; and his siblings, Sandy Morton, Sheila Minor, Jack Edwards and Ronnie Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Carpenter; his siblings, Crystal McGrady (Kenny), Donnie Edwards (Rita), Bill Edwards, Mike Edwards (Tracy) and Dickie Edwards; his grandson Joey Miller; and his daughter-in-law Terry Miller.
