He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Shumate and Dolly Champ Shumate; his daughter Greylin Marie Shumate; his sister Sandra Shumate Freeman (Terry); his nieces and nephews, Alexis Lovette, Alyssa Shumate, Jaylin Shumate, Paiton Shumate, Olivia Freeman and Elijah Champ Freeman of Charlotte, NC; his siblings, His and James Shumate; his daughter Aliyah Lambert of Princeton, WV.; and also, Tyler French and Jennifer Farley. He was also cherished by aunts, uncles and cousins.
