She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph G. Cross and Wilma J. Vanhorn Cross; and her husband Lyle W. Gates. She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer Williamson (Matthew) of Parkersburg and Amanda Gates (Clinton Cottrell) of Spencer, WV; her grandchildren, Haley Cottrell, Brian Cottrell (Brooklynn), Brandon Cottrell (Natalie), Keionnia Williamson and Dashiell Williamson; her great grandchildren, Lexi, Levi and Zayden; her close friends, Ann Whitecotton O'Neal, Barbara Joyce and Carolyn Lowe; her sisters, Nancy Bush of Aurora, CO, Martha Archer (Dale) of Mineral Wells and Cindy Hagerman (Ken) of Parkersburg; and also Harold Ellison. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home - Pike St (2333 Pike St, Parkersburg, WV 26101). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
