Short of Parkersburg, West Virginia, born in Spencer, West Virginia, who passed away on June 19, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Short and Bud Short (Bud); and his stepparents, Hubert Badgett and Dorothy Short. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughters, Andrea Yeager and Pamela Russell (Joe); his grandchildren, Jodie Russell, Brittany Stevens (Justin) and Traves Yeager (Kendra); his great grandchildren, Maddox and Gage; his sister Janet Barton; and his half-sister Judy Straub (Bob).

Lloyd was an avid animal lover his whole life therefore, if anyone wishes, in lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Lloyd's name to the Humane Society of Parkersburg.
