He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Thomas and Crystal Price Thomas; and his niece Rebecca Mangus. He is survived by: his wife Julia Layman Thomas; his daughter Janelle Thomas (Heidi); his granddaughter Kensi; his son Richard Thomas (Shannon); his siblings, Joyce Mangus (Delmus) and Forrest Thomas (Shirley); his grandsons, Connor and Ethan; his nieces, Jeanette Mangus and Kristina Whiteaker (Ned); and his nephew Michael Thomas (Shelly). He is also survived by four great nephews.
