She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Smith and Addie Smith; her husband Donald Ray Brookover; her son Robert Ray Brookover; her sister Ruth Moore; and her great grandchild Alex Hornbeck.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Matheny and Berny Brookover (Linda); her grandchildren, Angela Hamrick (Will), Christy Hawkins, Stephens Hawkins (Tonya), Angie Hornbeck (Charlie) and Amanda Hazen; and her great grandchildren, Chance, Elaina Hamrick, Kane Rogers, Lee and Niki Hornbeck. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Memory Gardens (1934 Dupont Rd, Parkersburg, WV 26101).
She requested no flowers but donations made to the Salvation Army Shelter, House to Home and the Humane Society in Parkersburg in her name.
