James Harlan Sheppard Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Harlan Sheppard of Parkersburg, West Virginia, born in Sandyville, West Virginia, who passed away on April 18, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Otto Sheppard and Almeda Conger Sheppard; and his siblings, Dale, Brooks, Opal, Freda, Beulah and Kathleen.

He is survived by: his wife Thelma R. Sheppard; his children, Nanette C. Thomas (Chip Wood) of Parkersburg, WV, Kelly J. Sheppard (Sandra K.) of Washington, WV and Timothy N. Sheppard (Angela D.) of Flemington, WV; his sister Nina Ruth Pursley of Sandyville, WV; his grandchildren, Amy Gosnell (Adam), Brielle Thomas (Jeff), Bradley Sheppard, Brandon Sheppard (Calle), Benjamin Sheppard (Holly), Brady Sheppard, Jeremy Sheppard (Bethany) and Zachary Sheppard; and his great grandchildren, Victoria, Abagail, Ryleigh, Brooklyn, Bronwyn, Doutzen, Navy, Jorja and Griffin. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
