Grace left this world on December 14, 2024 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As Grace departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Grace. Though Grace may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett F. Schmidt and Jennie A. Schmidt; her daughter Kathleen Cumpston; her husband Richard H. Ferrell; her great grandchild Broc Wright; and her son-in-law Roger Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Smith of Belleville; her grandchildren, Ashlie Ferrell, Brandon, Brodi Elder, Cayla Wright and Lacie Ferrell; and her sister Jane. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home of South Parkersburg (2333 Pike St, Parkersburg, WV 26101).
