It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Luverna Riser of Parkersburg, West Virginia, who passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac S. Ward and Elsie C. Ward (Tuell); her husband Melvin C. Riser Sr.; her children, Luverna Koch and Kevin Riser Sr.; her siblings, Charles, Frank, Leonard Ward, Sarah Hartshorn and Inez Westbrook; and her grandson Jamie Riser.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Clark (Paul), Loretta Riser (Brian), Beverly Riser (Vernon), Steven Riser (Janet), Peggy Simon and Melvin Riser Jr. (Willow); and her sister Zelma Joy. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
