The passing of David Matthew Fleming of Parkersburg, West Virginia, born in Bluefield, West Virginia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on March 9, 2025 at the age of 51. He was predeceased by: his mother Louise I. Fleming (Sprouse). He is survived by: his father Phillip I. Fleming; his wife Jennifer Fleming (Ford); his children, Austin Patterson, Ashley Scherich (Neil), Gretchen Fleming, Emma Fleming, James, Ava Strothers and David Matthew Fleming II; his brother Phillip I. Fleming II (September); and his parents-in-law, Larry and Nancy Ford. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Services and Crematory - Parkersburg (403 7th St, Parkersburg, WV 26101). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Vienna Baptist Church (3401 Grand Central Ave, Vienna, WV 26105). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkersburg Cougar Wrestling Club or the Parkersburg High School wrestling program.
