He was predeceased by: his parents, Majorie Provance and Ira Clayton Young; his brother David Young; and his pet Ziva. He is survived by: his son Brian Jr. (Tabatha); his niece Melissa Brookover (Matthew); his grandchildren, Bubba, Jolen and Khloe; his sister Sandra Bailey (Steve); and his close friend Ron Harley.

A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (1934 Dupont Rd, Parkersburg, WV 26101).
