He is survived by: his parent Elizabeth Lockhart Johnson; his wife Rhonda Walker Johnson; his children, Goldie Freeman of Welch, WV, Ricky "Bo" Johnson of Panther, WV, Desiree Thigpen and Todd Thigpen of Statesville, NC; and his siblings, David Viers of Figsboro, VA, Andrew Johnson (Eloise) of Panther, WV, Wayne Johnson (Leona) of Panther, WV, Anthony Johnson (Pixie) of Stuart, Jeffery Johnson (Angela) of Panther, WV, Lola Cline of Panther, WV and Faye Looney (Wanus) of Panther, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
