He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Matney (Bud) and Dorothy Justice Matney; his wife Sandra Elizabeth Matney; and his brothers, Lefty and Luther Matney.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Goins of Thomasville, NC, Christina Lambeth of Thomasville, NC, Jessica Gerwald of Panther and Jasmine Matney of Panther; his grandchildren, Hunter, Lillian Bailey, Bradley Myers, Jonathan Goins Jr., Jordan Goins and Maddalyn Hurley; his siblings, Donna Matney and Jackie Matney; and his close friends, Tammy of Thomasville, NC., Dale Mullis of Thomasville, NC. and Michael Lambeth of Thomasville, NC..
