He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Oather Bays and LydiaBelle Canterbury Dent; his wife Tena Bunting Dent; his children, James "Jimmy" Dent (Marlo) and Susan Rakes (Brian); his grandchildren, Tena Gee, Kourtney Dent, Hannah Settle (Mike), Brooklyn Williams, Miranda Oyewole (Tobi) and Jordan Pierson; his great grandchildren, Kaygen Clement, Raylee Clement, Easton Bess and Kenzleigh Suttle; and his siblings, Paul Dent and Elizabeth Brown.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Tyree Funeral Home- Oak Hill (999 Jones Ave, Oak Hill, WV 25901). A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens (2150 Pea Ridge Rd, Oak Hill, WV 25901).
