He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Ray and Kathryn Louise Hines, Sr. (Corbett); his grandparents, William, Della Hines, Thomas and Mildred Corbett; and his brother Robert Hines.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Hines (Virtue); his stepchildren, Daniel Shurak, Jr. (Ann) of Continental, OH, James Shurak of Wheeling, WV, Steven Shurak of Wheeling, WV, Amy Stokes (Jay) of Canton, MS, Mandy Shurak of Paden City, WV and Bethany Shurak of New Martinsville, WV; his siblings, Donald Hines of Perry, FL, Stephen Hines of Greenwood, WV and Della Beanard of Wheeling, WV; his stepgrandchildren, Kyle, Hayden, O'Ryan, Liam, Braysen, Phoebe, Sadie and Addie; his brother Bud; and his sister-in-law Wanda Strautmann of Wheeling, WV. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
