He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Allen and Mary Allen (Stewart); his sister Dorothy Willis; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Willis, Lee Hupp and Clyde Hupp.
He is survived by: his wife Sonja Crawford Allen; his son Jim Allen (Debbie) of Paden City; his sisters, Eva Jean Hupp of Woodsfield, OH and Molly Hupp of Woodsfield, OH; his grandchildren, Mikey Allen (Cydnee) of Bethlehem, WV, Pete Allen (Alyssa) of Benwood, WV, Craig Allen of Wheeling, WV and Marcus Allen of Paden City, WV; and his great grandchildren, Scout and Quinn Allen.
