Phares (Kitty) of Petersburg, WV and Richard C. Phares, Jr. of Riverton, WV; his grandchildren, Jerry Richard Phares, Jr. (Stacy) of Pasadena, Stephen J. Kulback (Mary Katherine) of Wilmette, Jon Richard Godwin (Amanda) of Morgantown, WV, Richard C. Phares III of Riverton, WV, Charles Wesley Godwin (Samantha) of Athens, Ohio and Kristina Phares (Stacy Vance) of Berlin, Pennsylvania; his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Phares, Ashley Phares of Pasadena, Maryland, Lincoln James Godwin, Thomas Brady Kulback and Gabriel Wesley Godwin; his siblings, Mary June Bennett of Circleville, WV, Dottie Warner (Jerry) of Franklin, WV and Raymond "Eddie" Phares (Rose) of Circlevile, WV; and his close friend Rheba Helmick.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's name to the Pendleton Community Bank to the Richard and Ruth Phares Scholarship Fund for a scholarship to a deserving student from Pendleton County High School to further their education.
