He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Harper and Clara Mallow Harper; and his siblings, Eston, Earl, Harlan, Elwood, Stelman Harper, Mabel Mallow, Jacqueline McDonald, Elva Harper, Joy Hedrick and Ethel Sites.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Lee Carr; his children, Timothy (Barbara) of Harding, Daniel (Lynne) of Elkins and Glenda House (Steve) of Elkins; his grandchildren, Megan, Holly, Elliot and Grant Harper; and his brother-in-law Ward Sites of Seneca Rocks.
