He is survived by: his close friend Melissa Ortiz; his children, Jennifer Meaghan "Beah" Broughton Starr (Gideon), Kaylia Pleasant and Christopher Allen Broughton (Kelly Richards); his grandchildren, Luke Clifton Starr, Penelope Quinn Broughton and Aaliyah Pleasant; his siblings, Vivian Nelms Early (Earnest Hughes) and Alex Nelms (Julie); his niece Vivian Tucker Branham; and his brother Michael Tolliver. He is also survived by siblings; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
