He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Pearl "Bus" Alt and Ruth Alt (Kuykendall); his wife Roberta Jean Alt (Myers); his son Douglas Keith Alt; his grandson Jason Price; and his daughters, Brenda Lee Vetter and Patricia Ann Adkins.
He is survived by: his son Dale Allen Alt, Jr. of Moorefield, WV; and his grandchildren, Veronica Price, Tammy Scaffidi, Joyce Mongold, Dale Alt, III, Angela Vetter, Jacob Alt and Duane Vetter II. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
