He was predeceased by: his son Ritchie Petry Jr.; his parents, Charles Petry and June Green Petry; and his siblings, Nicky Petry and Robin Sue Petry.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Payne Petry of Ohley; his daughters, Melissa Petry of Ohley and Annette Foster (Ronald) of Chesapeake; his siblings, Michael Petry (Tammy) of Ohley, Peggy Sue Harvey (Richard) of Chelyan and Tammy Green (Terry) of Ohley; his grandchildren, Jason, Patrick, Cheyenne, Katie, Brandon, Bubba and D. J.; and his great grandchildren, Jace, Colton, Waylon, Keira and Kaleb.
