He is survived by: his wife Dora Sutphin; his sons, James E. Sutphin (Lori) and Glenn C. Sutphin (Tonya); his grandchildren, Patti Furrow (Jonathan), Patrick Quinn and Kimberly Marie; his stepgrandsons, Merritt, Cruz and Chase; his nieces, Mary Ellen Johnston and Freda McGuire; his friend Alton Thompson; and his brother-in-law Don Thompson.
