He was predeceased by: his parents, John Statler and Pauline Spencer Statler; the mother of his children Jo Ann Williams Statler; his sisters, Virginia Mormile, Louise Sellars and Helen Stewart; and his daughter-in-law Linda Jo Scarbro.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Etta Ewing Statler; his children, Mark Statler of Houston, TX, Beth Statler and Brenda Shrader of Ruskin, FL; his stepchildren, Sharon Ward of Beaver, WV and Harold Scarbro of Beckley; and his sister Linda Rae Hiner of La Marque, TX.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made in the memory of Philip R. Statler to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Dr. Beckley, WV 25801.
