She was predeceased by: her parents, Oather Moses and Vesta Moses; her brothers, John Woodrum and Dallas Woodrum (late Loretta); and her siblings-in-law, Anna Wilder, Grady Whitlock and Billy Whitlock (late Camilla).
She is survived by: her husband James H. Whitlock of Fayetteville; her son Ben Whitlock (Cathy Dobbs); her grandchildren, Emilie Whitlock and Noah Whitlock of Joliet, IL; her brothers, Lowell (Rosalie) and Moses of Roanoke, VA; her sisters-in-law, Thelma Neal of Myrtle Beach, SC and Rose Woodrum of Princeton, WV; and her friends, Elizabeth Cole, Lori Keller, Phyllis Wilson, Dorothy Ward and Robin Gibson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel (1435 Main St E, Oak Hill, WV 25901). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations in Mava's name can be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
